Would you like to see the largest lake of Spain, with its surrounded rice fields? Paella has its origins in the region around the Albufera lagoon and during an excursion to the Albufera national park you will be able to taste this delicious Valencian Paella, in a typical Valencian restaurant. During the excursion you will be able to get an impression of the surroundings and to see the rice fields.
From a central point we will go to Albufera by bus, a nature park near Valencia. In Albufera you can see the biggest lake of Spain, but this is also the region where many products come from that are used in the Valencian cuisine, like rice and eel. When we arrive we will make a boat trip on the Albufera lake, which is surrounded by rice fields and Barraca’s, typical Valencian houses. Afterwards you can enjoy a Paella Valenciana. After lunch we will go back by bus and you will be dropped off at the meeting point.
The meeting point in Valencia will be discussed with the group.
